Then we have typically reformed bounty hunters returning from the past, including Sylux, who may now be an ally. 

Samus herself undergoes a deeper transformation, as the game evaluates Samus’ memories, her choices, and the psychological ramifications of her being human and Chozo. Players will find themselves in flashbacks and dream sequences that evaluate Samus’ inner conflict. This is typically not done by Nintendo, but it is nice to have.

Boss Fights and Enemies

Boss fights are always one of the biggest draws in any Metroid game, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond does not disappoint. Each of the bosses we fought were more than just bullet sponges; they possessed the thoughtful, puzzle-based elements that make games like Metroid so memorable and rewarding. For example, during previous demonstrations for the game, we fought one of the bosses called the “Echo Warden,” which is a being that exists in multi-dimensional space and shifts phases in the fight and requires the player to use the Quantum Layering mechanic in a split-second decision.

Enemies also evolve through gameplay as well. The AI adapts to Samus’s strategies, leading to a sense of encouraging variety and experimentation. Whether it is a merciless swarm of parasitic hosts or devastating war machines, the game keeps the same level of intensity and challenge.

Multiplayer and Online Features

For the first time in the Prime series, Beyond will also have optional co-op missions separate from the main campaign story in the game. Players will be able to play up to two people to complete combat-focused missions from side areas of Aeonis.
